Munish Khanna, started his journey as a commercial Photographer, way back in the late 90's as he joined the prestigious Government college of Art in Chandigarh to pursue his passion for Applied Art. Between Art Direction in different advertising agencies and Photography, He picked up the later to undertake various photography assignments in genres as varied as Fashion, Advertising, Food, Interiors, Automobiles and Industrial. Besides, Nikon and Canon, Munish commonly used cameras like Hasselblad and Mamiya.
To further expand his horizons he moved on to New York, USA to pursuit the fine art of Digital photography as it gradually replaced the film photography worldwide.
Technical standards have always been very important and certainly required in today's world of technology. With a good mastery and control of Light, Munish moved on to the larger Medium format digital photography with the world leader Phase One and Mamiya besides canon cameras. he was featured on the home page of the prestigious Phaseone website.
In order to share his vast knowledge of Photography, Munish started "Munish Khanna Academy" with a unique concept of lifetime membership and one to one learning. Most of the well known names in the Photography industry today include many from Munish Khanna academy. He continues to teach photography in Delhi and has further added the option to learn photography online as well.
Munish has shot several features and covers for magazines in India and abroad including, Savvy, Society and Friday ( Gulf News, Dubai)
Munish has participated in various Photography exhibitions across the globe including the ones he organised for social causes along with Navjyoti India foudation.
One of the most respected Photographer in Delhi, who's been shooting since the time of film.
Munish has worked on coffee table books on Parliament of India, Miniature paintings depicting Ramayan and Mahabharta for Editions Diane De Selliers, France.
Some of the brands Munish has worked for include Maruti suzuki, Hero Honda, Vodafone, Star news/ABP news, VLCC, max BUPA, Jindal steel, Savvy, Society, JCBL, NDTV, Chandra, MDH, Convergys, Honda.
Cinematography has also been widely explored by Munish with his ventures of affordable cinematic videos and documentaries including Stop motion, Fashion and Music videos.
Munish manages a very successful company handling wedding and event Photography. Team of talented Photographers and cinematographers, is coupled with equally talented editors and designers, one of the well known names, called Together We Rock.
Many aspiring Models and Actors frequently get their modelling portfolios shot by him, taking their first steps in the world of modelling and films. Many well known names got their photographs shot by Munish, as they set out to shape their careers.
Based in Delhi, Munish is married to a highly experienced fashion designer, Shalini and their Son, Yoktavya Khanna is a talented film maker in Mumbai.
